BROOKSIDE BIKES BEGINNINGS

Our journey started in January 2009, when our founder, Abram Zimmerman, recognized the need for quality bikes and dependable service in the local community around Mifflinburg. With his sons, Daniel and John, eager teenagers at the time, Abram rolled up his sleeves and turned the lower part of the old bank barn into a bike shop, selling quality bikes and offering service and repairs.
 
And so Brookside Bikes was born.
 
Over time, as our reputation grew and the demand increased, we began to expand our inventory and shop space.
 
Early on, we carried Fuji and Raleigh. In 2017, we sold our first ebikes—a market that has grown steadily ever since. And in 2018, we became a Trek dealer, partnering with a brand that shares our commitment to quality and customer care.
 
In May 2020, we moved into our current store. It was an interesting time to move—COVID had just hit, demand was at an all-time high, and supply chains were stretched thin—but our team rose to the challenge.
 
Today, we’re a team of six, with John leading the service department and Daniel managing sales and operations. Whether you’re shopping for your first set of wheels, need a quick tune-up, or want advice on the perfect bike for your next adventure, we’re here to help with friendly expertise and honest service.
